To activate the infrared port:

Ensure that the infrared ports of the
sending and receiving devices are within
60cms of each other and facing.

Activate the infrared port on your phone
by pressing Menu and scrolling to
Connectivity and selecting Infrared.
Press Select. When

activated. When it blinks, your phone is
trying to connect to the other device, or
the Infrared connection has been lost.

If data transfer is not started within one
minute after the activation, the
connection is cancelled and has to be
started again.

When the user of another phone sends
you names and numbers via infrared,
you will receive them as text messages.

When you receive them, press Show,
then press Options. Select Save or
Erase and press OK.
Note: Do not point the infrared beam at
anyone's eye or allow it to interfere with
other IR devices. This device is a
Class 1 Laser product.

Orange Answer Fax
Orange Answer Fax
is ideal for people whose
business takes them away from the office. It
means that you can receive information by fax
from customers and colleagues.
Whether you need to retrieve and print out
your fax, or forward faxes on to other
colleagues, Answer Fax is the easy way to
stay in touch when you're on the move.
To activate
Orange Answer Fax
contact your
account holder. Once the service is activated
you will be allocated a separate number for
Answer Fax.
When you receive a fax, a text message is
sent to you. To retrieve your Answer Fax
message, press and hold the Answer Phone
key and follow the recorded instructions.
Note: The availability of Orange Answer Fax
abroad is dependent upon the network you
are using. You are charged a standard data
call charge.

on your phone, PC and
palmtop up to date by
synchronising your devices
By synchronising your devices, you can
share information between them. So, if you
receive a business card on your phone, you
can share the contact information with your
PC or palmtop contacts.
Before synchronisation can take place, you
must first install the software from the CD
that came with your phone on to your PC.

Make sure that the phone is connected
to the PC or Palmtop via infrared or
data cable.

Insert the PC Suite CD into your PC.
The CD should autostart. Follow the
on screen prompts.
Once PC Suite has been installed use New
synchronisation to synchronise your
phone and PC and Nokia content copier
to transfer data between them.
