With the back of the phone facing you, place your fingernail in the gap on the right edge of the phone, and carefully lift and remove the back cover.

    Charge your phone About the battery Use only Nokia approved chargers designated for this phone. You can also use a compatible USB data cable to charge your phone. You can set your phone to automatically switch power save mode on when the battery charge level is low.
  • Page 9 You do not need to charge the battery for a specific length of time, and you can use the phone while it is charging. If the phone indicates a low charge, do the following: Charge from a wall outlet First connect the USB cable to the charger, and the charger to the wall outlet, then connect the USB cable to your phone.

    Charge from a computer You can use USB charging when a wall outlet is not available. Data can be transferred while charging the device. The efficiency of USB charging power varies significantly, and it may take a long time for charging to start and the device to start functioning. First connect the USB cable to the computer, then to your phone.

    Create your accounts Your phone guides you through the initial setup when you insert your SIM card and switch your phone on for the first time. To access all Windows Live and Nokia services, create your Windows Live ID and Nokia account.

    The start screen is yours to personalise. Pin contacts, apps, music, pictures, feeds, mailboxes, and other favourites, so they're always with you. When you pin contacts, their updates are displayed on the tile, and you can call them directly from the start screen.
