lower voltage and the unit will not perform properly. Never mix old and
new batteries together or different brands or types together. Open the CD
compartment by sliding the "OPEN" button located on the front portion of
the unit. (Please Note: when sliding cover, do so gently. If done
forcefully cover will be damaged) Once "OPEN" locate the battery
compartment. Push tab in on battery cover and lift cover off. Install 2 AA

VOLUME to an audible level.

Left to turn ON. Next set the play options to Momentary, Timed or Latch.
(Please see the overview of these setting on the back page of this User's
Guide). When finished using make sure to turn the unit OFF to prevent
battery drain.
5. There are two adapted switch input jacks located on the base. The jack
labeled MOM/TIME/LATCH will start and Pause the CD in a momentary,
timed or latch setting. (Female jacks accept 1/8"plugs only). The second
jack labeled TRACK/ADVANCE will give the user the ability to advance
and fast forward through the tracks on a CD. (Please Note: When using
TRACK ADVANCE set your volume to the desired level before
plugging in your switch. If not you will not have control of the volume
while the switch is plugged into the TRACK ADVANCE jack).
6. Connect any external capability switch via the 1/8" jacks. If you need to use
a ¼ " to 1/8" adapter for your switch, it must be a mono adapter, not stereo.
Make sure that the connections between the external capability switch and
the adapter (if applicable) and the jack are tight, there should be no gaps.
7. When the Capability Switch you have chosen is activated the CD player will
turn ON. It will then display the number of tracks that your CD has on it,
then the CD will start to play the first track. Press the switch again to Pause
the track.
