Tone dialling for data transfer
This function is only relevant for internal calls.
The reaction of the telephone system to tone dialling signals can be switched off temporarily.
This is important and necessary, for example, when you wish to remotely interrogate your
answering machine with tone dialling or if you wish to transfer data.
To switch Off the tone dialling detection press the ❋ (star) button. You can now press tone dial-
ling buttons without having the telephone system interpret them as a code or an extension number.
Music on hold
While on hold an external caller will hear music.
You can listen to this music for 30 seconds from extension 1.
1. Pick up the handset from extension
1.
2. Dial 176 .
You hear the telephone system's dial tone.
You hear the music for 30 seconds.
