Room monitoring

The telephone system enables you to monitor a room, that is to say the area surrounding the
handset. A telephone must be placed in the room you wish to monitor. Lift the handset and dial
the code number. The handset should be placed directed towards the area to be monitored.
Hereafter, it is possible to call this room monitoring telephone from every extension and to listen.
Note: This is only an internal function. It is only possible to call this room monitoring tele-
phone from an internal extension.
1. Pick up the handset.
2. Dial 86 .
3. Point the handset in the direction of
the sound that is to be monitored.
To monitor the room
1. Pick up the handset.
2. Dial the number of the room moni-
toring telephone, for example 22 .
3. Replace the handset.
Hints: If the CO line is programmed to ring on only one extension, this extension should not be
used for the room monitoring function.
The room monitoring function will be ended if the handset of the room monitoring telephone is
replaced.
You hear the telephone system's dial tone.
You hear an acknowledgement signal.
The room can now be monitored.
You hear the telephone system's dial tone.
The connection is established. The sounds
from the room can be heard through your
handset.
