1 PrepareTheInstallation Site
Your counter-depthrefrigeratoris designedto be part of a built-inkitchen cabinet
system. Be sureto coordinatesite preparationand instaflation with your kitchen
contractor.
Includethese minimumguidelinesin yoursite preparation:
, Choosea placenear a groundedelectricaloutlet.
, Do not use an extensioncord or an adapterplug.
, Avoid direct sunlightand closeproximityto a range, dishwasheror other
heatsource.
, Floorshould be leveland able 10supporta fully loadedrefrigerator.
, The refrigerator'sIce& Water Dispenserrequireswater supplyaccess.

, Forcompleteaccessto drawers andfreezer baskets,doorsmust be able to
fully open.
Allow the following clearancesfor ease of installation,proper air circulation,and
plumbingand electricalconnections:

By now,you have already removedyour refrigerator'sshippingcarton.Youmay
still needto use a handtruck to move it throughclose spacesor entrances.If the
refrigeratoris larger than an entrance,considertwo options:
, Removethe entrancedoor if oneexists.
, Removethe refrigeratordoors(see how in your Use& Care Guide).
When usinga handtruck:
, Loadrefrigeratorfrom side of cabinetonly.
, Do not run retainingstraps over handles.
, Do not over-tightenretaining straps.
, Neveruse refrigeratorhandlesto movethe refrigerator.
, Removetape from doors only after unit is in place.
3 ConnectWaterSupply
What you will need:
, Accessto a cold water line
with pressureof
20-100psi.

, Coppertubing with ¼-inch
(6.4mm)OD. Lengthfor thi_
Waterline hooku
tubing is the distancefrom
the rear of the refrigeratorto your household
water supply line plus 7 feet (2.1 meters).
, A shut-offvalvefor the connectionbetweenyour household
water line and the refrigeratorsupply line.
Do not use a self-piercingshut-offvalve.
, A compressionnut andferrule (sleeve)for the water supply
connectionat the rearof your refrigerator.

To connectthe water supplyto the rear of your refrigerator:
1 Ensurethat the refrigeratoris not pluggedin.
2 Flushthe supplyline until water is clear by placingthe end of the
coppertube in a sinkor bucketand openingthe shut-offvalve.
3 Unscrewthe plasticcap from thewater valveinlet at the rear of
your refrigerator.Discardthe cap.
4 Slidethe brass compressionnut, thenthe ferrule (sleeve)onto
coppertube.
5 Pushthe coppertube into water valveinlet as far as it willgo
(1/4 inch).
6 Slidethe ferrule (sleeve)into valve andfinger-tightenthe
compressionnut ontovalve. Tightenanotherhalf turn with a
wrench. Do not over-tighten.
7 Securethe coppertube to your refrigerator'srearpanel with a
steel clamp andscrew (seeillustration).
8 Coilthe excesscoppertubing (about2_A turns) behind your
refrigeratoras shown. Arrangecoiled tubing to avoid vibrationor
wear againstother surfaces.
9 Openwater supply shut-offvalveand tighten any connections
that leak.
4 Placein Permanent Position
If possible,use a handtruck to positionthe refrigeratordirectly infront of
its cabinetenclosure.
Becareful not to move the refrigeratorbeyond its water supply (copper
tubing) connections.
Plug inthe powercord, and push the refrigeratorstraightback into
place.
5 Level Refrigerator& Adjust Doors (ifnecessary)
Guidelinesfor final positioningof yourrefrigerator:
• All four cornersof the cabinetmust rest firmly
on the floor.
• The cabinetshouldbe levelat the front and rear.
• The sidesshouldtilt _A-inch (6 ram)from front to back
(to ensurethat doorscloseand seal properly).
• Doorsshouldalign witheach other and be level.
All of these conditionscan be met by raisingor loweringthe
adjustablefront rollers.
To adjust the front rollers:
1 Openboth doorsand removethe toe grille by
unscrewingits two mountingscrews andgently pulling
forward(see illustration).
2 Closethe doors anduse a flat-bladescrewdriveror 3/
8-inch socket wrenchto raiseor lowerthe front rollers.
3 Ensureboth doorsare bind-freewith their seals
touchingthe cabineton all four sides.
4 Replacethe toe grilleby fitting it into place and
refasteningits mountingscrews.
