DLS UR 1, Ultimate series tweeteer
Thank you for buying DLS UR1 tweeter. This tweeter is included
in the DLS ULTIMATE Reference speaker kits.
THE KIT CONTAINS:

2 pcs 28 mm / 1,1" tweeter elements
- Mounting accessories for dash and recessed
mounting
INSTALLATION:
UR1 can be installed on the dashboard or recessed in a doorside.
SURFACE MOUNTING:
Use all accessories coming with the tweeter.
Attach the round bottom plate (A) with the screws
(B) or double adhesive tape.
The fasten the round holder (C) to the bottom plate
using the screw and nut (D). The tweeter element
(G) is then attached to the holder using the three
short screws (E).
RECESSED MOUNTING 1:
You need a hole with a diameter of
45 mm / 1,77" in the door side.
Attach the tweeter element (G) to
the door side with the round holder
(C) on the back side of the door pa-
nel. Use the three long screws (F)
to attach the element to the holder.
RECESSED MOUNTING 2:
Sometimes it´s necessary to install the
tweeter at places where you cant use the
round flange. The flange (H) is possible to
remove from the tweeter element (I) by
turning it CCW (bayonet mount).
If you prefer to install the tweeter with the
flange attached to the tweeter element,
we recommend you to add a string of
strong glue on the bottom side, between
flange and chamber, to secure it. This gi-
ves you the best sound reproduction in
this installation.

MONTERING:
Iridium1 kan antingen monteras utanpåliggande på instrument-
bräda, eller infällt i ex.vis en dörrsida.
UTANPÅLIGGANDE MONTERING:
Använd alla de tillbehör som finns i förpackningen.
Den runda bottenplattan (A) monteras med två
skruv (B) eller dubbelhäftande tape. Den runda
hållaren (C) monteras ihop med bottenplattan med
medfljande skruv och mutter (D). Tweeterelementet
(G) fästs i den runda hållaren med tre korta skruv
(E).

INFÄLLD MONTERING 1:
Gör ett hål på 45 mm i dörrsidan. Den

runda hållaren (C) monteras på dörr-
sidans baksida. Använd de tre långa
skruvarna (F) för att skruva fast

tweetern (G) med hållaren (C).
INFÄLLD MONTERING 2:
Ibland är det önskvärt att kunna montera
tweetern i bilens originaluttag eller lik-
nande och då är flänsen onödig. Den
yttre flänsen (H) är möjlig att ta bort från
tweeterelementet (I) genom att vrida den
moturs (bajonettfattning).
Om du installerar tweetern med flänsen
monterad så erhålls bäst ljudkvalitet om
du lägger en sträng med ett starkt lim
runt om på undersidan, mellan fläns och
kammare, så att flänsen sitter fast or-
dentligt.
