    Loading the xD-Picture Card Although you can store pictures in the camera’s internal memory, you can store many more images on the xD- Picture Card (sold separately). There is a slot for the xD-Picture Card inside the battery compartment. Open the battery cover. Insert an xD-Picture Card.

The viewfinder lamp blinks orange during charging. • The subject may be difficult to see clearly on the LCD monitor (in bright sunlight or dimly lit scenes, etc.).

Use this function when you want to get the maximum possible running time from your batteries. The Auto power off function is disabled during automatic playback (➝p.60), discharging rechargeable batteries (➝p.101), and when a USB connection (➝p.80, 90) is being used.
