Water Filter Installation Instructions
Follow these simple instructions for your filter type.

1. Locate the filter head; in the upper right hand side of the refrigerator
compartment or in the machine compartment on built in refrigerator models.
2. During initial installation of the water filter, remove the bypass cap by a ¼ turn
counter clockwise, retain for later use. During replacement installation rotate
the used filter counter clockwise until it is released from the filter head. Twist
gently and do not pull. Note: there may be some water in the filter and some
spilling may occur.
3. Remove the new filter from the packaging. Remove the filter cap.
4. Lubricate the O-ring with food grade vegetable oil.
5. Line up the cartridge ears so it can be inserted into the filter head. Rotate the
filter cartridge ¼ turn clockwise.
6. Reduce water spurts by flushing air from the system. Run water continuously
for 4 gallons (approximately 5 minutes) through the dispenser until water runs
steady. Additional flushing may be required in some households where water is
of poor quality.
