It's important that before starting, you carefully read these instructions and the instructions supplied inside the
appliance.
Note, the surfaces of your fireplace can be scratched or damaged if care is not taken during installation.
A second pair of hands will be necessary to complete this installation safely and damage free.
It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure that the correct fittings are being used to secure the fire safely to
the wall.
Mounting the Fire:
Ensure that you keep all screws removed for future use and spares
1. Decide on the height that you want the fire to be mounted from the floor, remember you need a flat wall
with a nearby power socket.
2. The height from the underside of the appliance to the lower edge of the wall bracket is 402mm. (Fig A)
3. Add the two measurements together and you will have the height to mount the bracket. (Fig B)
4. Remove the wall mounting bracket from the rear of the fire by removing the Phillips screws at each end of
the bracket that are retaining it to the appliance. (Fig A)
5. Position the wall bracket against the wall at the determined height and centralise taking account of the
overall width of the fireplace.
6. Using a spirit level on the top edge of the wall bracket mark all the hole positions
7. Ensure you have suitable fixings for the wall structure. Depending on the wall type additional wall
strengthening may be necessary (seek advice if you are unsure) It must be securely fixed to the wall,
8. Drill and secure with a suitable wall fixings the wall bracket to the wall, ensure that it is level (check with
spirit level) if necessary, pivoting the bracket before drilling and fixing remaining using holes. (Fig C)
9. Now refer to the appliance instructions see page 7 and remove front glass has shown, carefully remove the
cartons inside the appliance. Arrange the appliance as a "Front and two sides view" as shown on page 7.
After removing the side panel ensure you replace the vertical edging strips back onto the appliance, don't
use the top and bottom edging strips as referred on page 7 but use the new channel edging strips supplied in
the surround carton. (Fig D & E) NOTE: For the Visto Floor Standing, use the original trims already supplied
with the fire along the bottom ('L' SHAPED).
10. Lift the appliance into position so that the rectangular cut-outs in the rear locate over the projecting fingers
of the wall bracket and ensure the appliance sets between the two bent ends of the wall bracket (Fig F)
a. Using a spirit level over the vertical face of the appliance check that its vertical. If it needs

c. Once the bracket is fitted on to the fire, it can then also be fixed to the wall.
11. Replace the screws that were removed from the wall bracket ends to secure the appliance (Fig C).
12. Set up your fuel bed and replace the front glass following the instruction in the appliance before fitting the
surround
Fitting the Surround: (Extra Pair of hands is useful for the next stage)
1. Take the bottom of the surround and carefully slide the top inside the channels on the side of the fire. (Fig H)
2. Take the top of the surround and slide the bottom inside the trim on the side of the fire. (Fig H)
a. For the bottom of the surround. Underneath, secure the surround to the wall using the brackets
provided as shown. Do this for both sides of the bottom (LEFT and RIGHT). (Fig I)
b. Repeat the same process for the top but keep the brackets as close to the inside as possible.
ENSURE THAT CORRECT FIXTURES FOR YOUR WALL ARE USED.
3. Next place the 2 sides behind one of the vertical edging strips of the fire with the inner strip facing inwards,
and over the 'KD Blocks', so that they secure themselves in place.
4. Job done. Enjoy your new fireplace!
