WARNING
Warning identifies conditions and actions that pose hazards to the user.

Maintenance
Changing the Battery
To remove the 9V battery, open the
battery compartment and pull the
bottom of battery (See figure 1) .
Extract the battery.
To install the battery, insert the
battery to the battery compartment
with the positive side facing toward
the rear of the battery compartment.

Measuring
Pull the trigger to switch the unit on. The display will show the
temperature and the laser will turn on. Move the laser pointer to the
centre of the measuring area. Read the temperature of the target. The
unit's display will remain activated (HOLD) for 30 seconds after the trigger
is released.
Important Notice
Inaccurate reading will result from measuring shiny or polished metal
surfaces. The unit cannot measure through transparent surfaces such as
glass. Steam, dust, smoke, etc. Can prevent accurate measurement by
obstructing the unit's optic. Make sure that the target is larger than the
unit's spot size.
Danger Zone Alarm (MicroRay FOOD only)
The unit use the HI and the LO icons to display the HCCP Food Danger
Zone Alarm. The LO icon will appear if the temperature is below 4°C
(40°F); the HI icon will appear if the temperature is upper than 60°C
(140°F); The HI and LO icons will flash and the beeper will sound if the
temperature is inside the Danger Zone.
8 Hours Countdown Timer
The unit includes a programmable 8 hours countdown timer to help
monito cooking, cooling, and holding times.
Memory
All models (excluding PRO++) can store up to 64 test with date and time
using the internal real time clock. Datalogging can be manual or
automatic with settable sampling Time.
TM
The optional Windows IRLogman 2006 (see figure 3) software includes
the USB cable. The Software allows viewing, graphing, exporting and
printing the measure. Remove the USB Port cap (see fig.2) for PC
connecting.
True Target Aiming (TTA)
These instruments have a laser sighting with a reflex system of the beam
passing through the center of the lens, which grants the best possible
accuracy when aiming at a distance.
Integrated T+RH% probe
It is possible to read the Air Temperature and Relative Umidity on the
display by selecting the external sensor function (see flow chart).

Buttons (see figure 5, 6)
Trigger ENT
If the trigger is pulled the unit will switch on.
The laser will turn off and the display is HOLD
when he trigger is released. However, the
backlight remains on for 5 seconds. If no
button is pressed for 30 seconds the unit will
turn off.
If in Set mode, it accepts the parameter
change.

Eurotron's Warranty
Eurotron guarantees its products against defects in materials and
workmanship for 1 YEAR from the date of purchase. If the unit should
malfunction, it must be returned during the warranty period,
transportation prepaid, to any authorized Eurotron service center. Upon
examination, if the unit is found to be defective it will be repaired or
replaced at no charge. Eurotron's WARRANTY does not apply to defects
resulting from any action of the purchaser, including but not limited to
mishandling, improper interfacing, operation outside of design limits,
improper repair, or unauthorized modification. This WARRANTY is VOID if
the unit shows evidence of having been tampered with or shows evidence
of being damaged as a result of excessive corrosion; or current, heat,
moisture or vibration; improper specification; misapplication; misuse or
other operating conditions outside of Eurotron's control. This warranty
applies to the original purchaser only. Resellers are not authorized to
extend any other warranty on Eurotron's behalf. The purchaser is
responsible for shipping charges, freight, insurance and proper packaging
to prevent breakage in transit. Please include a copy of the original
invoice.
