Bright Green LED Tape
Components required
20 AWG wire
Layout
Maximum run in series for Bright Green LED Tape is 5 metres. Use another run in parallel to connect more.
When connecting any kind of high power LEDs in series you may experience voltage drop. Voltage drop can
cause LEDs to be dimmer at the end furthest away from the power supply. Therefore, for Bright Green High
Power Tape, we recommend powering runs of more than 4 metres from both ends.
The distance from the power supply to the LEDs should be no more than 2 metres. If you need a cable longer
than 2 metres please speak to us about using a different gauge of cable.
When installing LED tape into light boxes or signs we recommend spacing the strips at the same distance as
the depth of the box less 10mm. For example a box of 70mm deep would have strips placed at60mm apart.
We always recommend testing LED tape in application to ensure no visible flaring or striping.
Electrical connection
1. Cut to the closest cut line. IP 20 LED tape can be cut with sharp scissors. We recommend using a sharp Stanley
knife to cut the resin coated IP65 version.
