Fuel Op ons
Propane bo le or cylinder selec on and usage ps
You can connect any propane or MAPP bo les with the standard
CGA600 male screw thread directly to your GrillGun.
The 8' Adaptor Hose has the male CGA600 fi ng on the torch-end with
the P.O.L le -hand male thread fi ng on the tank-end. You can screw
the P.O.L connector directly into any bulk propane cylinder with the
ma ng output fi ng. For countries outside of the US where these types
of cylinders are unavailable, you will want to secure adapters online or
deal directly with your local propane dealer to assist you with securing
and installing the proper adapters.
Butane/propane blended fuels will not perform as well in the GrillGun,
and straight butane will perform poorly. The output nozzle orifice is too
large to sustain the required internal fuel pressures for butane and bu-
tane blended fuels.
For maximum performance of your GrillGun, store your 1-lb propane
bo les inside at room temperature when it is winter and cold outside.
When using the 1-lb bo les, you will want to have several on hand if
you are going to use the GrillGun for an extended period of me. Each
fuel bo le will frost over in a couple of minutes and the pressure will
drop drama cally. You will want to swap out bo les as they chill, to let
the cold ones warm up as you are using a fresh warm one. Once the
bo les warm back up, you can repeat this process up to 6 mes in that
manner before the fuel has been completely exhausted.
When you buy replacement propane bo les, buy 2 or 3 extras, so you
always have some on hand.
Consider using a 20-lb or 30-lb propane cylinder and the adapter hose if
your GrillGun never leaves home and is always used at the grill.
There are a number of refillable 1-lb bo les on the market for sale as
well as refill kits to refill your 1-lb bo le from a 20-lb tank, so you always
have that op on to reduce cost and keep portability at its best.
When (if) refilling bo les, always follow the instruc ons per the recom-
menda ons of the manufacturer of the refill equipment.
