A wristband and a coiled cord make up a wrist strap. It is the most used device to ground personnel.

Wash with lukewarm water and mild soap or detergent. Do not use bleach.
Coiled Cord
Socket end contains a 1 MΩ ± 5% resistor rated at ¼ W and able to withstand a DC tension of 500V for over
2 minutes. Plug end does not contain a resistor. Cords with a plug end are supplied with a loose croc clip.
Fully extendable length : 2m.
Instructions for use
The wrist strap is designed to prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage to electronic components. A snug fit
is necessary to ensure a good connection. Connect the clip end to an earthed object or the chassis of the
equipment. You are now at the same electrical potential as the equipment. Only now should you remove the
sensitive component from its housing or from its protective packaging.

Caution
Use for ESD control purposes only. Do not shorten the strap or tamper with it in any other way. Do not use in
areas where electric power exceeds 250 Volts. Wear the wrist strap before removing components from their
