    AF (Autofocus)/AE (Auto-exposure) lock On the FinePix F10, pressing the shutter button down halfway locks the focus and exposure settings (AF/AE lock). To focus on a subject that is off to one side or to set the exposure before composing the final shot, lock the AF and AE settings.
