The LM-I and LM-2 are high quality units that allow you to operate multiple sets of
speakers from a single source without impedance load problems. These units employ two tri-filar
wound transformers with an impedance selector switch. This provides a choice of desired
impedance to the amplifier while maintaining a flat frequency response for optimum sound
reproduction.
The LM-2 allows connection of the amplifier and one pair of speakers to the front of the
plate, and four additional pairs of speakers to the rear. The Load Master I has front connectors for
the amplifier only, with four pairs of speakers on the rear.
Follow the wiring diagram on the back of this sheet for your unit. The impedance multiplier
switch should be set as follows: using 5 or more pairs of 8 Ohm speakers the switch should be set
at 8X, using 3 or more pairs of 4/6 Ohm speakers the switch should be set at 8X, and using
combinations of 4 and 8 Ohm speakers the switch should be set at 8X. Other wise the switch
should be set at 4X.
