Battery Installation
- Unit requires 2 X AA (LR6) batteries.
- Open the battery cover located at the back of the unit.
- Place the batteries in the compartment as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and -)
marked inside.
- Replace the battery compartment cover until it locks into place.
Manual SET UP Mode
Important
- Refer to the attached CODE LIST and look up the appropriate code for your device (TV,
VCR, DVD or SAT) prior to following the below procedures.
- Anytime if you want to leave the Setup Mode, press the DEVICE key or the unit will
leave the Setup Mode automatically after 10 seconds when no key is been pressed. If
this happens re-start the procedure from "A"
A. Power on the desired device (TV, VCR, DVD or SAT). For VCR and DVD turn on the
device and insert Video tape, CD or DVD.
B. Press and hold the [SET] button and while holding the [SET] button, press the
appropriate DEVICE button, e.g. TV, VCR, DVD or SAT.
C. When the LED light comes on, release both buttons.
D. Input the appropriate 4 digits brand code for the selected device, which is found in the
code list.
E. After inputting the 4 digits code:
- if the code you have entered is correct the LED light will turn off
- If the code you have entered is incorrect, the LED will flash twice and keep the
remote in the setup status. Re-enter the correct number.
F. If the LED light turns off, press the [POWER] button to check if device (TV, VCR, DVD or
SAT) switches off.
G. If the device switches off then the correct code has been stored for that device. Press
any other function button ([CH+], [CH-], [VOL+], [VOL-] etc.) to test whether the device
can be controlled.
H. If the device does not switch off repeat the above procedures with a different code.
QUICK SERCH Mode
The Quick Search option can be used to find out a suitable code for your device when the
correct code is not found from the list or the code is not available for a particular brand device.
A. Power on the desired device TV, VCR, DVD or SAT. For VCR and DVD turn on the
device and insert Video tape or CD/DVD.
B. Press and hold the [SET] button and while holding the [SET] button, press the
selected device button, e.g. [TV], [VCR], [DVD] or [SAT].
C. When the LED light comes on, release both buttons.
D. Press the [SET] button once more to enter the Quick Search Mode; the LED light
will continue to flash.
