What's in the box:

Setting up your new repeller in 2 easy steps:
1. You'll need a small Philips screwdriver. On the
back of the unit is the battery panel which has 4
small screws. Undo the panel and insert 3x AA
batteries (not included). Replace the panel and
screws.
2. Take the two pieces of the ground stake and slot
them together. Insert the stake into the bottom of
the repeller. You may find it a little hard to
connect the spike, this is normal, please do not use
excessive force or hammer the top of the unit.
That's it, all that's left to do now is turn the unit
on: The on/off switch is located at the base of the
unit. Move this to the 'on' position and as you do
this you should see a red light blink once through
the PIR sensor.

WHERE TO PLACE THE DEVICE

1. Ultrasonic waves travel in straight lines. Think of
it as 'line of sight'. Solid objects significantly impact
on the soundwaves as they cannot pass through
physical objects. For best placement, try to have
the device pointing to where the animals enter
your garden or at least very commonly trodden
areas.
2. The unit can be hung via the hole on the back of
the unit, or staked into the ground. If you are
positioning the unit in the ground, carefully fix the
ground spike/stake to the unit and gently push the
unit into the ground at the place that seems most
favorable. You can always try different locations
until you find what works best for your garden.
3. When selecting the installation location, please
choose suitable terrain to ensure any part of the
unit won't become submerged during periods of
heavy rain and that the unit isn't obstructed.
4. It's important to maximize battery life by
avoiding aiming the unit at areas of regular
movement (such as a public footpath).

Reactionary Behaviour:
When a fox becomes startled by a nearby sound
such as a repeller, its instinct is to freeze in its
tracks and wait to see what happens next. If like
most repellers out there the sound activates at
regular intervals, this can allow the fox to get used
to the pattern and carry on about its business. At
PestBye we've developed this repeller to activate
at random timing intervals, not allowing the fox to
become used to the pattern. That combined with
our carefully designed HyperResonance
Frequency™ which is designed to give maximum
resonance within the ear canal of foxes over the
broad range of fox hearing sensitivities, ensures an
effective solution to problem foxes.
Territorial Behaviour:
Foxes are territorial animal, keeping them out of
an area they're used to visiting can be tricky. In
order to assist the device in achieving full
effectiveness, try to ensure no food sources are
left outside; in particular bin bags are tied tight,
even double bagged before placing in a bin with
fitting lid. This gives the fox no reason to visit the
area and will aid the success of the repeller.
You may find it takes days or even weeks for the
device to become effective, however given time
the fox will realise the device isn't going anywhere
and will visit less often until eventually they
stop. This is why we ask you to use the device for
30 days in order for our Effectiveness Guarantee to
