2 34 Important notes for users in the U.K. Mains plug This apparatus is fitted with an approved 13 Amp plug. To change a fuse in this type of plug proceed as follows: 1. Remove fuse cover and fuse. 2. Fix new fuse which should be a BS1362 5 Amp, A.S.T.A. or BSI approved type.

POWER BREAKDOWN BACKUP When the mains power fail, the complete clock radio will be switched off. When the mains supply returns, the display will show the PHILIPS demo mode and the correct clock time has to be set again. To retain the clock time and the set alarm time in the event of an AC mains failure or disconnection, insert two 1.5V batteries, type R06, UM3 or AA size (not supplied)

Helpful Hint : – If you press TIME SET when setting the alarm time, the display switches to the time setting mode. – It is not possible to adjust the alarm time when the alarm goes off, or when the repeat alarm mode is active.
