Models vent horizontally

This water heater has a built-in electric blower to force
exhaust gas to the outside. Category III stainless steel
vent is (UL1738 certified) required. Maximum vent
length for RTG2-42PV models is 36 feet 2 inches
including one 90° elbow. Maximum vent length for
RTG-53PV models is (not final) including one 90°
elbow. Maximum vent length for RTG-74PV models is
47 feet 6 inches including one 90° elbow.
Type "B" vents are not permitted.
