Model Number:
BALUN-100-16-50
Introduction:
A video balun allows you to send BNC video signal over a CAT5e cable. Depending on the balun, you are also able to send power
through the CAT5e cable and convert the output to 12V before sending power to your camera. Making the set up easy, organized
and efficient. This type of solution is great for small offices and homes at a great price due to cutting out expensive and heavy
coaxial and power cables. All the CAT5e cables meet in the server room which is plugged into an included rack mount video balun
which converts the signals back out to a BNC for you to connect to your output source, which in most common cases, a Stand-
Alone DVR, a Linux-Based DVR, or a monitor. The power is sent from your server room to each camera. Eliminated the need for a
power source at every camera end. 12V signals drop at about 300 ft. Supplying too much power to your camera will cause the
camera to burn and not supplying enough, your camera will not power up. We stand behind our video baluns completely, we
manufacture our own baluns and be reassured that we use only high quality materials ensuring our customers a satisfied, easy and
safe setup. PI Manufacture carries several other video balun setups, in which some includes converters for longer distance setups.
