    New Construction Wings Bracket Frame Speaker Baffle Incorporating a Local Volume Control In a multi-room system there is one indis- pensible control for true convenience—a local volume control. It allows you to adjust the volume of the speakers without leaving the room.

    Speaker Placement The Boundary Effect Corners can affect the bass response of the speaker powerfully! This is called the boundary effect. You will emphasize par- ticular bass frequencies and cancel out other bass frequencies when you place speakers close to the wall/ceiling bound- ary or a corner wall boundary.

  • Page 10 Start by examining all the possible routes you might take to run the speaker wire from the speaker to the volume control and back to the stereo. Use a stud sensor or other device to locate the internal structure of the wall.
  • Page 11 You can acci- dentally induce 60 Hz hum on your speakers if you run your speaker wire right beside electrical wire for more than a few feet. Try to keep speaker wire running par- allel to power cables at least 3 feet away.
