Power on/off the Phone
Notes:
Do not power on your phone if wireless phone use is
unapproved, or when it may cause interference or danger.
Press and hold End Key to turn on / off the phone.
Notes:
y When prompted, enter your PIN (Personal Identification
Number) code or handset code and press the OK Key.
y The PIN code is the password provided by your network
service provider. You cannot use the (U)SIM card without it.
y When the PIN code or handset code is accepted, the
phone automatically searches for the network. After a few
seconds, your phone displays standby mode.

Function Description
Installing the Battery
Notes:
If you are not going to use the battery for a long time, remove
it from the phone and store it in a cool dry place.
1. Carefully insert the battery with the contacts located against
the gold springs.
2. Push down the battery until it clicks into place.

Lock/Unlock Your Phone
Use the keypad lock to prevent the keys from being pressed
accidentally.
1. Manual Lock: In standby mode, press and hold the * Key to
engage key lock.
2. Auto Lock: In standby mode, select Menu > Settings > Phone >
Auto keyguard and set your desired time to lock the keypad.
Notes:
• If a call comes in when the keypad is locked, you can
press the Voice Call Key or Video Call Key to answer
it. When the call is ended or rejected, the keypad locks
automatically.
• When the keypad lock is on, calls might still be possible to
the emergency number(s).

Inserting the (U) SIM card
Notes:
y Do not bend or scratch your (U)SIM card. Keep the card
away from electricity and magnetism.
y Don't touch the metal surface of the (U)SIM card. Doing so
could cause information on the card to be lost or destroyed.
y Disconnect the charger and other accessories from your
phone and remove the battery before inserting and
removing your (U)SIM card.
1. Hold the (U)SIM card with the metal contacts facing
downward and the cut corner at the bottom right. .
2. Insert the card into the card holder and push it until it clicks
into position.
