Tires
Neverexceedthe maximum inflation pressureshown on the sidewall of
tire.
Therecommended operating tire pressure is:
Approximately 1 0psifor the reartires

IMPORTANT:
Refer t o the tire sidewall f orexacttire manufacturer's
recommended o r maximum psi.Donot overinflate. U neven tire pressure could
cause the cuttingdeck to mowunevenly.
Battery

If removing the battery, disconnect the NEGATIVE (Black)wire from its
terminal first, followed by the POSITIVE (Red)wire. Whenre-installing
the battery, alwaysconnectthe POSITIVE (Red)wire to itsterminal first,
followed bythe NEGATIVE (Black)wire.

Connect t he second cable(negative -) to the otherpostof thejumper
battery.
4.
Connect t he otherendof the negativecableto the engineblock of the
tractor,awayfrom the battery.Attachto anunpaintedpartto assure agood
connection.
If the jumperbattery isinstalledon avehicle (i.e. car,truck),do NOT start
the vehicle's enginewhen jump starting your tractor.
5.
Startthe tractor(asinstructed e arlierinthissectionof thismanual).
6.
Setthe tractor'sparkingbrakebeforeremoving the jumpercables, i nreverse
orderof connection.
Charging

Whenchargingyourtractor's battery,useonlyachargerdesignedfor 12Vlead-
[acidbatteries.Read yourbatterycharger's Owner'sManualprior to charging
[your tractor's battery.Alwaysfollow itsinstructions andheeditswarnings.
Ifyourtractorhasnot beenput into useforanextendedperiodof time,chargethe
batteryasfollows:

Setyourbatterycharger t o delivera maxof 10amperes.
2.
Ifyourbatterycharger i sautomatic, c hargethe batteryuntilthe charger
indicatesthatcharging iscomplete. I f thechargerisnot automatic, c harge
for nofewerthaneighthours.
Fuse
One 20AMPfuseis installedinyourtractor'swiring harness t o protectthe tractor's
electrical s ystemfromdamage caused byexcessive a mperage.
Ifthe electrical s ystemdoesnot function,or yourtractor'senginewill not crank,
first check to becertainthatthe fusehasnot blown.It canbefoundat the rearof
the unit, underneath the fenderlocatedbythe battery.
Alwaysusea fusewith the sameamperagecapacityfor replacement.
Jump Startiag
Neverjump start a damaged or frozen battery. Becertain the vehicles
do not touch, and ignitions are off. Donot allow cable clamps to
touch.

Connect p ositive(+) cableto positivepost(+) ofyourtractor'sdischarged
battery.
2.
Connect theotherend ofthecabletothe(positive +)postofthejumperbattery.
