How do I set the temperature?
turn the controls to set the temperatures on the
driver and passenger sides respectively. the selected
temperature is shown in the display.
Press AUTO to automatically regulate cooling,
heating, blower speed, recirculation, and air distribu-
tion to maintain the chosen temperature.
CLIMATE is displayed.
How do I defrost the windshield?
Press to activate electrical heating*; the symbol (1)
illuminates in the display.
Press again to also direct airflow toward the winds-
hield and front side windows; symbols (1) and (2) will
illuminate.
Press again to switch off both functions; no symbols
will be illuminated.
Models without electrical defrosting: Press to direct
airflow toward the windshield and front side windows.
How does the AUTO headlight feature work?
with the switch in the AUTO position:
•
the headlights will switch automatically between
daytime running lights and low beam headlights,
depending on ambient lighting conditions.
•
High beams can be used.
•
Active bending lights* (AbL) switch between high
and low beams automatically if another vehicle ap-
proaches or is directly ahead.
• tunnel detection* is also active.
