Climate Controls

The climate control system regulates the
heating, cooling and ventilation of your
vehicle. Film valve technology allows this
unit to blend the temperature and airflow
more precisely.
Airflow Modes
The climate control system includes five
primary modes:
(Vent): Directs air to the instrument
panel outlets.
(Bi-Level): Directs half of the air to
the instrument panel outlets and the
remaining air to the floor outlets.
(Floor): Directs most of the air to the
floor outlets with some air directed to the
outboard outlets (for the side windows)
and some air to the windshield.
(Floor/Defog): Directs air equally
between the windshield and the floor
outlets.
(Defrost): Directs most of the air to
the windshield and the side outlets with
some air directed to the floor outlets.
The mode functions can be "blended" by
pointing the knob to one of the white
dots shown between the main modes.
The center air outlet, next to the DIC or
Trip Computer, is the largest outlet and
will flow more air than the other outlets.
See Section 3 of your Owner Manual.
