Paper f ilterscannotbe cleaned andshouldbereplaced every100operatinghours;
moreoften if usedinextremely dustyconditions.
Oil F ilter
Neverusegasolineor lowflash pointsolventsfor cleaningthe air filter
element. Afire or explosioncouldresult.
Donot use pressurized air or solvents to dean the air deaner
cartridge.
if filters, or coversarenot installedcorrectlyserious injuryor death
could result from backfire. Donot attempt to start the engine with them
removed.

IMPORTANT: Besuretocheck engineon alevelsurface with the enginestopped.
1. Wipearounddipstickcapandtubewith acleanclothto remove anydebris.

IMPORTANT: Never r unthe enginewithoutthe air filter. Rapid enginewearwill
result.
1. Unscrew the thumbscrews andremove the air filter cover. S eeFigure 25.

2. Remove d ipstickandwipedeanwith acloth.
3. Pouroil into the dipstick tube. Donot overfill Withan oil filter changethe
high level a mountofoil for thisengineis1700ml(57.48 fl-oz.).
4. Instal[dipstick andturn to locked positionbefore startingengine.
5. Startengine. A llowto runforafewseconds andthenshutdownthe engine.
