Connecting this product to a power strip with a surge protector may adversely affect the performance of this product.

    Understanding PowerLine AV2 2000 Gigabit Adapter Security PowerLine adapters on the same network must use an identical encryption key. The default encryption key of each DHP-700AV is HomePlug AV. All PowerLine AV2 2000 Gigabit Adapters with default encryption keys can communicate with each other.
