Network Camera Configuration Type

The Network Camera can be connected over the LAN/Intranet and the Internet. Please select from
the four Network Camera configuration types. Network parameters differ depending on the Network Camera
configuration type.

Internet Direct Connection
with a Modem
Network Camera can be installed alone without PC on the
network. When you set up the Network Camera in [Type 3],
please connect the Network Camera temporarily in [Type 1],
[Type 2] or [Type 4].

Note
Most of the xDSL services use PPPoE. Network Camera
does not support PPPoE. If the Internet connection
requires PPPoE, please connect with the router supporting
PPPoE like [Type 2].

    Proxy Server Setting The proxy server may prevent you from connecting directly to the Network Camera in some corporate environments. The web browser can set up the IP address communication without the proxy server. Please discuss the installation with the ISP or network administrator. Start up the Internet Explorer.

    Select your target Network Camera from the list as shown on example (A) on the Network Camera List window and click [Select]. The Configuration window appears. Please refer to Page 2 in this Getting Started and enter the correct network parameters. Click [Save] on the Configuration window when finishing.

    Network Camera Cabling Please check the location where Network Camera should be installed. Select the proper cable fitted to the Network Camera location. Put the cables through the Connector Cover (1.). Connect the DC plug of the AC adaptor to the DC IN jack (2.) and Category 5 straight/cross cable to the Ethernet port (3.).
  • Page 6 Attach the Sunshade by fastening the two screws. Roll up three putties around the cables. Stuff putties little into the hole to prevent the water from getting inside. Use last putty to fix the spot. Notes Please confirm Network Camera operation before puttying the cables.

    Ceiling Mounting Mount the Flexible Stand firmly to the ceiling or the beam using the three screws (accessories). • Please use proper screws fit for the material of the ceiling. Attach the Network Camera by screwing the threaded mount into the tripod mounting hole. Adjust the position of the Network Camera and secure the Flexible Stand firmly.
