Trouble?
Check the connected device.
- The camcorder was connected to a device different from the one
selected in the 1 > q > [USB Connection Type] setting.
Change the setting according to the device you want to use and
connect the camcorder and the device again.
Check the memory card
- Cannot access the memory card. Check the memory card and
make sure it is inserted correctly.
- A memory card error occurred. The camcorder cannot record or
display the image. Try removing and reinserting the memory card,
or use a different memory card.
- You inserted a MultiMedia Card (MMC) into the camcorder. Use a
recommended memory card (A 32).
- If after the message disappears, 9 appears in red, perform the
following: Turn off the camcorder and remove and reinsert the
memory card. If 8 turns back to green you can resume record-
ing/playback. If the problem persists, save your recordings
(A 149) and initialize the memory card (A 40).
Check whether the lens cover is open
- Slide the lens cover switch down.
Close the memory card slot cover.
- The camcorder's memory card slot cover was opened while the
camcorder was connected to the optional CS100 Connect Sta-
tion. Close the cover.
