I DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURES /
(Remove parts in the order as numbered.)

CD-R/RW Drive Replacement

• The CD-R/RW drive must be replaced as a unit. None
of its components can be supplied separately.
• After replacing the CD-R/RW drive, be sure to update
the CD-R/RW drive firmware to the latest version.

1. Removal of Top Cover

a. Turn off the power and disconnect the power plug from
the AC power outlet.
b. Remove 4 screws (1) and 3 screws (2). (Fig. 1)
c. Remove the top cover rearward while lifting it up. (Fig.
1)
