    ‘About’ Button: Click on this button to display the “Gauntlet Connect” App version number. UPLOAD PHOTO QUALITY Tap this box to change the photo upload quality from your tablet or phone to the Gauntlet Unit. Select the quality level preferred, and the photo will be uploaded with a higher or lower resolution than the original photo file.

Note: The drive name cannot be changed. Also, if a partition is created on the Gauntlet Drive, its name cannot be changed from the default system name.

  • Page 26 System: Tap this box to view or change the Host name and Workgroup name used in Windows computer networks. The default host name is set to: “GauntletNode” and the default Workgroup is set to: “WORKGROUP”. This is used if you wish to connect the Gauntlet drive to your home computer network. This is not required to transfer files which can be done by simply plugging in the included USB 3.0/2.0 cable.

    TO ACCESS YOUR DATA WIRELESSLY ON A WINDOWS SYSTEM: Connect your Windows computer Wi-Fi to the Gauntlet drive SSID. Next on the Windows computer, click on the “Start Menu” button > in the ‘search’ window type in \\10.10.10.254 and press ‘enter’ on the keyboard. It will prompt you to enter the Samba Username and Password.

    iPhone/iPod Wi-Fi: Tap this box to connect your Gauntlet unit to your home or work wireless internet. This will enable you to have access to the Internet and the Gauntlet unit at the same time. It is called Internet Pass-Thru. Any devices connecting wirelessly to the Gauntlet Drive will also all be able to access the internet thru the Gauntlet drive once connected to your home or public wireless network.

    TROUBLESHOOTING YOUR DEVICE Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs): Q: Can the device be connected via USB and Wi-Fi at the same time? A: No, this device can be accessed via USB or Wireless but not both at the same time. This is a failsafe feature built in to the device to prevent from overheating or power fluctuations.
