Vehicles w ith 8 1 /2 " ring g ear o r 8 7 /8 " rin g gear axles
use three optional lim ited slip differentials, nam ely
C hevrolet, E aton and Borg W a rn e r. C orvette uses only
the E aton unit.
The Borg W arn er unit is not re p a ira b le except for
differential side bearings and m ust be replaced with
eith er a C hevrolet or an E ato n P ositraction differential
unit, if service is necessary. See figure ID.
All truck 10 1 /2 " ring g ear axles produced by C hevrolet
use an optional E aton Positive Locking differential th at
is serviced as an assem bly only. Truck 10 1 /2 " rin g gear
axles produced by D a n a use only the o p tional D an a
Power-Lok, shown in figure 17D.
