RIDING

Traveling Downhill

Whenever descending a hill, always:
1. Drive directly downhill.
2. Transfer your weight to the rear of the vehicle.
3. Slow down.
4. Apply the brakes slightly to aid in slowing.
Familiarize yourself with the auxiliary rear brake pedal and its use
in the event loss of normal service brakes occurs.
Do not travel at excessive speeds. It is dangerous and can
cause loss of vehicle control and tipping, resulting in severe
injury or death.
