Using the Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, or Manual mode

Using the Manual mode

In the manual mode, you can take pictures by setting
various shot options directly including the shutter speed
and aperture value.

Rotate the mode dial to M.

Rotate the dial to adjust the shutter
speed.

Rotate the dial to adjust the aperture value

while press and hold the [EV].

Setting desired shooting option
• For a list of options, refer to "Extended
shooting functions."(p. 49)

Align your subject in the frame and half-
press [Shutter] to focus.

Press [Shutter] to take a photo.
Dial
In case of P (program), S (shutter priority), or A
(aperture priority) mode, the display is shown in red
for each part beyond the range of expousre.
P mode: The red sign is shown for the shutter speed
and aperture value.
S mode: The red sign is shown for the shutter speed.
A mode: The red sign is shown for the aperture value.
EV button
The ISO speed cannot be set automatically in the
M(manual) mode.
