Changing the password
a
Press MENU.

Press a or b to display
General Setup.

Press General Setup.

Press a or b to display
Function Lock.

Press Function Lock.

Press Set Password.
g
Enter the registered four-digit password
using the buttons on the LCD.
Press OK.
h
Enter a four-digit number for the new
password using the buttons on the LCD.
Press OK.
i
When the LCD shows Verify:,
re-enter the new password using the
buttons on the LCD.
Press OK.
j
Press Stop/Exit.
Setting up and changing the
Public user
You can set up one Public user. Public users
do not need to enter a password.

Press MENU.
b
Press a or b to display
General Setup.
c
Press General Setup.
d
Press a or b to display
Function Lock.
e
Press Function Lock.
f
Press Setup User.
g
Enter the four-digit administrator

password using the buttons on the LCD.
Press OK.
h
Press a or b to display Public.
i
Press Public.
j
Do one of the following:
To set up the Public user, press
Enable or Disable for each
operation, as follows:
Press Fax Tx. Then press Enable
or Disable. After you have set
Fax Tx, repeat these steps for
Fax Rx, Copy(Color),
Copy(B&W), Scan, Print and PCC.
To change the Public user setting,
press a or b to display the setting you
want to change.
Press the setting and press Enable
or Disable.
Repeat this step until you finish
changing settings.
Note
If you disable PC Print and PhotoCapture
printing (PCC) for Public users it will also
disable those functions for all restricted
users.

Press Stop/Exit.
