OPERATIONS: OPERATIONS: OPERATING THE DIALOcharge: Both the voltage and the current of the DIALOc harge are controlled s imultaneous ly with a single knob, providing an infinite s elec tion between the MINimum and MAXimum range. This is acheived by an analogue t riac-driven, phase shitfing duty cycle c ontrol of the MAINS ac input to the transformer. -

In all cases, power has been supplied by portable generators (“Gen-sets”) of less than 5kVA rating . Almost all of the damaged chargers have been Woods “Dialomatic” types, since these are the style mos t likely to be used with s mall gen-sets. -
