Recording TV programmes
To pause recording
After displaying the recording programme, press
[PAUSE ;].
• Press again to restart recording.
(A title is not split into separate titles.)
• Timer recording programme cannot be paused.
To record three programmes simultaneously
While recording, perform steps 1–4 on page 34.
• Channel or input can only be switched between the
recording programmes.
Simultaneous rec and play
You can play the recording title from the beginning
or the titles previously recorded to the HDD.

This unit allows you to record/view/play an
encrypted programme by decryption using a
supporting CI module.
Recording of encrypted broadcast
The recording of encrypted broadcasts differs
according to the "Recording for Encrypted
Channel" (
94) settings as follows.

encrypted form.
Encrypted programmes simultaneous
recording/viewing/playing
When "Automatic" is selected
The unit can record three encrypted programmes
simultaneously. Programmes are normally
recorded in a decrypted form, but depending on
the state of the unit, they may be recorded in an
encrypted form.
When "Decryption Recording" is selected
The unit cannot record programmes without a CI
module, which is necessary for decryption.
• To record three programmes simultaneously,
select "Automatic".
