1. What is RAID?
RAID stands for Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks. It takes two or
more hard disks achieve greater levels of performance, reliability and/or
larger volume of data size.
2. What kind of RAID is supported by the NAS540?
NAS540 supports Raid 5, Raid 6, Raid 10, Raid 1, JBOD, or RAID0.
3. Which file system is supported by the NAS540?
Internal file system: EXT4
External file system: FAT32, EXT2, EXT3, EXT4, EXFAT and NTFS.
4. Which kind of multimedia server does the NAS540 support?
NAS540 supports Squeeze Center, Twonky server, UPnP AV Server, and iTunes
Server.
5. Does the NAS540 support a DLNA media server?
Yes. The NAS540 supports a DLNA 1.5 compliant media server.
6. What is the feature "Wake On LAN"?
You can turn on the NAS540 through its wired Ethernet connection after enabling
Wake On LAN. To use Wake On LAN from a computer on your LAN, install a
program such as Wake On LAN EX or other Wake On LAN programs that
supports sending magic packets. You can also use Wake On LAN from a remote
location if the router in front of the NAS540 that supports sending magic packets.
