  • Page 24 Ambience effects DTS Digital Surround is the standard for providing 5.1 channels of discrete digital audio in consumer electronics products and software content. DTS can contain a larger volume of data than Dolby Digital, and can reproduce high quality surround sound. They are the same as the Dolby Digital 5.1 channels, but it is a format that lowered the audio compression rate when recording digitally.
