Configuring settings for Camera

Tap to configure settings for Camera. The available options vary depending on the
mode used.
• P hoto size / Video size: Select a resolution. Use higher resolution for higher quality.
But it takes up more memory.
• M etering: Select a metering method. Center-weighted measures background light
in the center of the scene. Matrix averages the entire scene. Spot measures the
light value at a specific location.
• L ocation tag: Attach a GPS location tag to the photo.
• T o improve GPS signals, avoid shooting in locations where the signal may
be obstructed, such as between buildings or in low-lying areas, or in poor
weather conditions.
• Y our location may appear on your photos when you upload them to the
Internet. To avoid this, deactivate the GPS tag setting.
• R eview: Set the device to show photos or videos after taking them.
• V olume key: Set the device to use the Volume Key to control the shutter or zoom
function.
• T imer: Use this for delayed-time shots.
• W hite balance: Select an appropriate white balance, so images have a true-to-life
color range. The settings are designed for specific lighting situations. These settings
are similar to the color temperature for white-balance exposure in professional
cameras.
• B rightness: Change the brightness.
• G uidelines: Display viewfinder guides to help composition when selecting
subjects.
• V olume control: Set the camera to take photos with voice commands.
• C ontextual filename: Set the camera to display contextual tags. Activate this to use
Tag Buddy in Gallery.
• S ave as flipped: Invert the image to create a mirror-image of the original scene.
This feature is available only when using the front camera.
• S torage: Select the memory location for storage.
• R eset: Reset the camera settings.
• H elp: Access help information for using the camera.
