If there seems to be a problem
Symptom
No sound comes out of the
speakers.
No picture is displayed on the
screen.
The unit does not work at all.
The remote controller* does not
work.
AME automatic presetting does
not work.
Static noise while listening to
the radio.
• Recordable/Rewritable discs
cannot be played back.
• Tracks on the Recordable/
Rewritable discs cannot be
skipped.
Playback does not start.
No picture appears on the
external monitor.
Disc cannot be played back.
Tracks are not played back as
you have intended them to play.
No picture appears on the
screen.
No sound comes out of the
speakers.
The iPod/iPhone does not turn
on or does not work.

Remedy/Cause
• Adjust the volume to the optimum level.
• Check the cords and connections.
Turn on the screen. ( page 8)
Reset the unit. ( page 3)
Replace the battery.
Store stations manually. ( page 24 )
Connect the antenna firmly.
• Insert a finalized disc.
• Finalize the discs with the component which you
used for recording.
The format of files is not supported by the unit.
• Connect the video cord correctly.
• Select the correct input on the external monitor.
• Record the tracks using a compliant application
on the appropriate discs. ( page 12)
• Add appropriate extension codes to the file
names.
Playback order may differ from the one played back
using other players.
• Turn on the video component if it is not on.
• Connect the video component correctly.
• Disconnect the iPod, then connect it again.
• Select another source and then reselect "iPod".
• Check the connecting cable and its connection.
• Update the firmware version.
• Charge the battery.
• Check whether the iPod control mode is
correctly selected. ( page 21)
• Reset the iPod/iPhone.
