CARE AND STORAGE OF YOUR POLISHER
Your polisher
will require very little
maintenance
as the
power unit is sealed inside the head and is not subject to
damage by dirt or wax.
The polisher
furniture
guard and splash guard should be
wiped with a dry cleaning
fluid or liquid
soap after
each
use to remove wax and dirt.
Remove brushes and dry inside of polisher head with paper
,
towel or c1ot.h before storing polisher.
Brushes
need periodic
washing
in warm water
and syn-
thetic detergent
to remove excess wax. Rinse well. Let dry
before reattaching
to polisher. The brushes on your Hoover
Polisher have plastic backs. They may be washed or soaked
in warm water without
danger of warping.
Felt pads and lambs' wool pads* should be washed occa-
sionally
to remove wax.
If your polisher
does not glide
easily when buffing
floors, it may be due to an accumula-
tion of wax on the p,ads. Pads should be washed the same
way as brushes.
Place on flat surface
and smooth back
into shape. Do not stretch. Shake lambs' wool pads several
times while drying to restore fluffiness.
Let pads dry thor-
oughly before using.
They will be damaged if used while
damp.
Be sure that both the pads and the floor are dry
before buffing.
Wash Cleaning-Waxing
pads* in warm water and synthetic
detergent.
Rinse well.
Then shake water
from pads and-let
dry.
These pads need
not be thoroughly
dry when used.
Store the polisher
in a cleaning
closet or
convenient
place, ready for use. Hang it
on wall, stand it on front
bumper, or re-
move brushes.
Never store it on the brushes.
