Océ ColorBlend® technology uses the printer's fifth and sixth ink stations to provide the

appearance of continuous tone color. It does this by adding lighter density cyan and

magenta inks to the basic four CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) inks to create a

smoother appearance in the light and midtone colors, a wider color gamut and crisper detail.

The result is near-photographic quality output without the requirement of extremely high

resolution or true continuous tone.
