Installing Motorola software on your PC

How to install Motorola Desktop suite for the A1000 on a PC so you can synchronise the two.
1. Insert your Motorola A1000 CD provided with your
mobile into the CD drive of your PC.
2. The installation should automatically begin, otherwise
click on My Computer then click on A1000 CD.
3. Choose your preferred language.
4. If you agree with the terms and conditions, click on
I accept the terms of the license agreement and Next.
5. Click on Install. This will start the Installation Wizard.
Click on Finish when the installation is complete.
6. Click on the Motorola A1000 Desktop Suite icon on
your desktop.
from the Application Selector Bar, select

the Control Panel and then select Connections. Select
Desktop Suite and ensure that USB option is selected
from the Link using: drop-down field. Select Done.
8. Attach the USB cable to the mobile and the other end
of the cable to the PC (USB socket). The PC will detect
the new hardware and begin the driver installation.
9. Click on icon on the bottom right hand of your
PC screen. Ensure that the USB option is selected.
10.On your A1000 mobile, select
the Desktop Suite and select Connect.
11.When successful, Connected to PC will appear
on your mobile.

This allows you to back up the files on your
A1000 mobile.
Restore
If you have made a backup copy of your A1000
onto your PC, Restore enables you to recover any
original files lost.
Synchronise
This allows you to synchronise your Calendar / Contact
/ Email between your A1000 mobile and PC PIM.
Software install
This allows you to install additional software for
your mobile.
File Browse
This allows you to exchange media files between
your mobile and PC.
Settings
This allows you to customise various synchronisation
settings on your mobile.
