Select The Soundtrack
(HR-J6004UM only)
Your VCR can record two soundtracks simultaneously (Normal
and Hi-Fi) and play back the selected one, or both together. Or,
when viewing a pre-recorded tape that contains both a main
and a sub audio track, you can choose to listen to either one by

selecting either "L" or "R" in step 4.

Press MENU during playback or when VCR is in stop
mode.
ACCESS FUNCTION SET

Place the arrow next to "FUNCTION SET" by pressing
CH 5 ∞ or PUSH JOG % fi, then press OK.
ACCESS AUDIO MONITOR

Place the arrow next to
"AUDIO MONITOR" by
pressing CH 5 ∞ or PUSH
JOG % fi, then press OK.
SELECT MODE

You have five choices:
a– Hi-Fi
b– Left
c– Right
d– Normal
e– Mix
Place the arrow next to
your choice by pressing CH 5 ∞ or PUSH JOG % fi.
The indicator on the front display panel representing
the mode you selected lights up (Hi-Fi: L+R; L: L; R:R;
NORM: NORM; MIX: L+R).
RETURN TO NORMAL

Press MENU as many times as necessary.
NOTE:
If the tape being played back has no Hi-Fi soundtrack, the
Normal soundtrack will be heard no matter what choice you
make at the Audio Monitor screen.
