Auto Picture compensates for variations in tape characteristics
to ensure the best possible playback picture. It checks and
compensates for the condition of the tape at the beginning of
automatic tracking when playback is selected.

Preparation

TURN ON THE VCR

Press POWER.
ACCESS MAIN MENU

ACCESS AUTO PICTURE
SCREEN

Press CH5 ∞ to place the
6 arrow next to "AUTO
PICTURE", then press OK.
SELECT MODE

Place the arrow next to
"ON" by pressing CH5∞.
NOTE:
When using rental tapes,
or tapes recorded on other
VCRs, select "ON" or
"OFF" as desired to give
the best picture.
RETURN TO NORMAL
