  • Page 52 KX-FP85 (Cause and Countermeasure) As shown in the chart above, the total handshaking time must be reduced, but because of the long distance connection and linking of several stations, the line connection time cannot be reduced. Accordingly, the following countermeasures should be tried.

For transmission from this model to FAX2, FAX2 executes automatic reception and transmits a CED signal (2100 Hz) followed by a DIS signal. As the echo cancelers stops as described in cause B, the echo of the DIS signal returns to FAX2. On the other hand, this model detects the DIS signal and transmits a DCS signal.

    KX-FP85 2.3.6. DIGITAL BOARD SECTION When the unit fails to boot up the system, take the troubleshooting procedures very carefully. It may have a serious problem. The symptom: No response when the power is turned on. (No LCD display, and keys are not accepted.) The first step is to check the power source.

For example, the handset TX route begins at the handset microphone and the signal is output to the telephone line.

Either Tx or Rx is able to pass through a telephone line or speaker, depending on the Tx and Rx signal (voice) level. The higher-level signal (either TX or RX) can pass through the route.
