    CONVENTIONAL OPERATION ■ Call procedure When your system employs tone sgnallng (excludng CTCSS and DTCS), the call procedure may be necessary pror to voce trans- msson. The tone sgnallng employed may be a selectve callng system whch allows you to call specfic staton(s) only and prevent unwanted statons from contactng you.

Up to 3 calls can be memorzed, and the oldest call record s erased when a 4th call s receved. However, once the transcever s pow- ered OFF, the all records are cleared.

    BIIS OPERATION D Received message selection The transcever memorzes the receved messages for record. Up to 6 messages for status and SDM, or 95 character SDM’s can be memorzed. The oldest message s erased when the 7th mes- sage s receved. However, once the transcever s powered OFF, all messages are cleared.

    SPEAKER-MICROPHONE ■ Attachment Attach the connector of the speaker-mcrophone nto the [SP MIC] connector on the transcever and tghten the screw. CAUTION: Attach the speaker-microphone’s connector securely to prevent accidental dropping, or water intrusion in the connector. IMPORTANT: KEEP the [SP MIC] jack cover attached (trans- cever) when the speaker-mcrophone s not n use.
