Show or hide the touch screen keyboard
Your BlackBerry® smartphone shows the touch screen keyboard when you tap a text field, and hides the keyboard when you
tap the hide bar just above the keyboard. You can hide the touch screen keyboard manually to display more content on the
screen.
Do one of the following:

About typing input methods

The typing input method that you use determines how you type. For example, if you are using the SureType® input method,
even though most keys have more than one letter, you only have to press the letter key for each letter in a word once. Your
BlackBerry® smartphone also displays a list of suggested words so that you do not have to type the entire word. If you switch
to the multi-tap input method, your smartphone does not display a list of suggested words and you must press a key once to
type the first letter on a key and twice to type the second letter on the key.
The language that you are typing in determines the typing input methods that are available. If you are typing in a language that
has multiple typing input methods, you can switch between typing input methods when you are typing. When you are typing in
certain fields such as password fields, your smartphone might automatically switch your typing input method.
